A process based, unhurried approach that allows time for children to savor their play.
Some days we linger longer on a particular activity or idea, or switch things around based on the interest and curiosity of the children. Activities are interchangeable and interwoven into lesson plans and classroom curriculum.
Mornings at Pickin’ Daisies will be filled with adventure and opportunities for learning at every turn.
One day a week runs past noon. 12:30 to 2:30.
By Wednesday children are settled into the rhythm and routine of the week and it is a great day to add a few more hours to their day. We will have lunch together, spend extra time outside and each week we will explore a different topic and creative endeavor.
Pickin’ Daisies is a place to savor the moments and breathe in the wonder of childhood. The children who attend will be playing. We will be digging and exploring, painting and mixing, laughing and singing, reading and writing, storytelling through dramatic play, and asking questions and curiously seeking answers, wherever they may lead.
Our clothes might get dirty and paint will be splattered. This is the proof of a morning well spent immersed in a classroom built for children.
