Amy D'Orazi, teacher and owner of Pickin' Daisies Preschool

Meet Miss Amy

I have been teaching young children in the Coeur d’Alene community for over 20 years, and I am thrilled to bring Pickin’ Daisies Preschool to life. I have dedicated my career to educating young minds and creating a classroom that fosters meaningful connection and a love for learning.

I have always had a passion for learning everything I possibly could. As a young child I traveled the world, learning both Spanish and Japanese fluently, and studied to get my pilot’s license in my teenage years. All of these experiences taught me so much, and I love to bring language and culture from around the world into the classroom.

As a young child I loved to perform. It gave me a platform for self expression that was different than any other. I was recently awarded the Excellence in the Arts award for the city of Coeur d’Alene, which was such a great honor, but the greatest honor was the connection it fostered with the community. As a local artist, singer and actor, I love to connect with the people and create opportunities to introduce the arts to my students and their families.

I believe that exposure to music and art at a young age helps children gain confidence and skills they will carry through their entire lives.

My dream for Pickin’ Daisies is to create a space for young minds to explore and create at their own pace, to make new friends and find connections as they play, and to spread their wings and gain confidence as they grow.
