What the year covers

Our school year at Pickin’ Daisies is going to be quite an adventure. Through daily planned and child led activities, we will explore nature, science, culture, language, art, math, music and so much more, all inspired by the children’s natural curiosity and imaginative minds.

Children are encouraged to practice and learn new skills and tasks that build confidence, character and leadership. We will work together to build social skills and create bonds of friendship that grow throughout the school year. We will explore the ever changing natural world by bringing the outside in, and taking ourselves outside each day.

Our process over perfection approach encourages children to tap into their own skill sets and creativity, while allowing their unique ideas and personalities to shine through. It includes a variety of art modalities, music, physical movement, math and science activities, and the exploration of letters and sounds, all through play.

The world moves so fast. Childhood is for savoring.
